Gaga for Gaga (and BoA, and all pop music!)

So I haven't blogged about the Lady Gaga concert yet...better late than never, right?
IT WAS AWESOME! I don't really need to even say anything else, but I still will! It was such a fun night. It was "second chance prom" so everyone was dressed up and it was such a fun ambiance. The Veronica's opened for Gaga, and they were amazing. They are identical twins from Australia, and man, they can ROCK. You might know their song Untouched.
Finally Lady Gaga came on, and she seriously rocked my world. I have loved her since day one, but now I am like, obsessed with her. She put on such a great show. If I had to choose between seeing her and anyone I have ever seen live again, I would choose her in a heartbeat. She has a powerhouse voice (yes, even though she sings pop) and she dances, and let's not forget her 'unique' fashion sense! She is truly an ARTIST! Here are a few pics and videos I took...







Y'all...I know most of you don't listen to the music I do, but for those of you who love pop, I have the best new CD ever!! It's called BoA, and she is a young Asian girl who ROCKS MY WORLD!! It is very Britney/Lady Gaga/Kylie Minogue...fabulous!

Miscellaneous

I am so tired and about to head off to bed, but here are a few thoughts before I do:
-A year ago TODAY, Ellen and Breagan passed court in Ethiopia and became the official parents of Nati!! Wow! What an amazing and life changing day for everyone involved! Congrats Ellen and family! :) Happy one year anniversary.
-Regional track meet was the past two days. I am tired and sunburned, but we have two kids going to state, in three different events, so that is great!
-Ramsi and Bez watched Molly for us, since we were out of town and they had so much fun together! :) I missed Molly like crazy but I got lots of updates and picture mail and I knew she was having a blast at Aunt Ramsi's house! I think Ramsi and Bez enjoyed the extra entertainment too!
-Dancing With The Stars!!! Love it! So sad that it is about to be over, but I am thrilled that my three faves are in the finals! I hope either Shawn or Melissa win.
-American Idol! Kris and Adam are in the finals! I liked Danny too, but I am completely happy with this match! I hope Adam wins, but I think Kris and Adam will both get a gig out of it anyways, so either way!
-I cry when they show the contestants going home and seeing all their fans for the first time! That must be so surreal!

Happy Birthday Madeline!!

I spent the past weekend in Houston to help celebrate my niece Madeline's THIRD birthday! :) She was such a doll, and I just can't believe she is already three!! We had a wonderful time, and her party was a blast. Liz and Andy rented a purple and pink jumping castle, and it was huge! The kids had alot of fun jumping on that and then at the end of the party we set up the slip-n-slide we gave her and she loved that too. The adults had just as much fun visiting as the kids did playing! Here are a few pics from the party...

JT is brilliant!

Justin Timberlake was on Saturday Night Live this past weekend and he was hilarious! He really is the total package...singer, actor, great looks, and comedian! I might have gotten a little carried away with embedding videos, but I just thought they were all so funny. Enjoy!

Happy Mother's Day

To all you Mom's out there...Happy Mother's Day! Aren't MOMs the most special thing in the whole wide world? I have the best one! :) Thanks Mom for being you and always letting me be me! I love you more than I can say.

Yep. Julia came from my mom's Aunt (my Baw's sister). Kate came from my mom's favorite actress...Katherine Hepburn.

2. When Was the Last Time You Cried?
I watched SEVEN POUNDS last Saturday and cried alot. Sunday I watched Notorious and cried alot. Wednesday I watched The Boy In The Striped Pajamas, and cried alot. (If you haven't seen that last one, you should!!)

3. Do You Like Your Handwriting?
yep...I even get complimented on it! :)

4. What is your favorite lunch meat?
turkey...but not when it has that chemical taste still on it.

not yet but I can't wait! But Molly is my daughter in the meantime!

I don't eat much cereal anymore, but I guess just frosted flakes or rice krispies. Although occasionally my parents would let me get Lucky Charms and I like that too! :)

11. Do You Untie Your Shoes When You Take Them Off?
I pretty much always wear VANS or flip-flops, and to work I wear boots that zip. But on the occasion that I put on my Nike's, yes, I untie first.

12. Ever had a pedicure?
Twice...hated it both times! Don't you dare touch my feet, unless it's a massage.

13. What is Your Favorite Ice Cream?
chocolate chip cookie dough, but I don't eat much ice cream.

14. What is the First Thing You Notice About People?
their scent. i know that sounds weird and stalker-ish, but i have such a sensitive nose, and it really is my first impression of them...the way they smell. (me and Edward Cullen are like, so, like, alike! haha)

16. What is Your Least Favorite Thing About Yourself?
I wish I worked out more, and I wish I had more self discipline. I would also love to feel my age, instead of like an 80 year old woman (with all the arthritis and health issues I have).

My Grandaddy. I just saw him in a home video last weekend and instantaneously I got a lump in my throat.

I like my house to smell like cinnamon or pumpkin, but my favorite scent of all time is a perfume I have called Quelques Fleurs...it is literally $170/bottle...but I swear it is the best smell in the world! It will stay on clothes until you wash them. Like I have this coat that I sprayed it on like three months ago, and I can still smell it on the coat as if I had just sprayed it ten minutes ago! I love it!

24. Who Was the Last Person You Talked to On the Phone?
one of my classmates...we were whining about an assignment due this week.

yes I do, for the record, it was Zac's cousin Mark who lives in Paris. :)

Cheerleading and baseball. (yes, cheerleading IS a sport!)

haha, depends on when you see me. Just kidding, but right now it's brown with blonde highlights. Soon it will be blonder...i have to lighten up for summer! :)

Obsessed....it was intense. My tummy hurt after the movie from being so clenched and anxious. I really liked the movie though.

Okay, just kidding. But y'all, I found a new website called photofunia.com and you can do all sorts of fun and silly stuff like put yourself on Mt. Rushmore and in Times Square and whatnot. But seriously, who wants to be there, when you could be on Beckham...as an angel!?

a few random things that are on my mind. When I say random, I mean it. Here we go...
1. I am finished for the semester. My last class was tonight, and I finished my internship at the elementary school last week, so I am free! :) As far as I know, I made 5 A's too, so that's nice!
2. Ramsi and Bez went with Zac and I to Freebirds tonight to celebrate me being finished. I love Freebirds food, but I also love that it reminds me of Austin!
3. Speaking of Austin, I am leaving Wednesday to go there! I am going to see Lady Gaga at the Second Chance Prom with Eli...I can't wait! I heard her third single "Love Game" on the radio today and I got so giddy! I can't believe I get to see her in two days, AND go with some of my favorite people!!
4. Thursday I have a dentist appointment, and then I am headed to Houston to hang out with Madeline, my Mom, Baw, Liz and Andy. Madeline's birthday party is Saturday, so Zac is flying into Houston on Friday night. Can you believe little Madeline is already turning three!? Wow!
5. I love Dancing With The Stars. I can't believe this is my first season to watch, but I am hooked! I really love it! I really love Melissa and Shawn the best. I would be happy if either of them won!
6. I don't know much about this Disney girl, Demi Lovato, but I am obsessed with her new song "Don't Forget" and it is making me become a fan of hers! I think you would like this song, if you gave it a chance. It is really pretty and catchy...



Oh, and for all you McCallum Knights out there...I have a fun post coming up that you might appreciate. (If anyone appreciates it, it will be you! he he)

Sad Story

I'm not sure if the Dallas Cowboys practice bubble collapsing has been a big story everywhere, or just for us, since we are close, but it's very sad and scary. One of the scouting assistants has a broken back and they are suspecting will be permanently paralyzed from this! I sure hope that everyone (high schools and colleges alike!) is re-examining the safety and structure of these and something like this will never happen again! I know the storm was bad in Dallas this weekend, but it didn't seem bad enough to take this thing down! I have seen several storms just as bad if not worse than that one!!

Nuestro fin de semana era magnifico!

Friday night Zac and I went to dinner with Ramsi and Bez. We tried a new restaurant that Ramsi had been to once and it was pretty tasty. It was Mexican food, and the funny thing is Ramsi said "it's a little hole in the wall...we'll never see anyone we know there." Naturally, we ran into two different people that they work with, but it was all good. The food was decent, but the conversation was the best. My stomach was in knots I was laughing so hard! We came home and watched "The Wrestler," which none of us liked. I hate wrestling, but I didn't think that would matter to like the movie, but appearantly it did. I mentioned on Facebook that I didn't like it and got several messages and replies that I was crazy and this and that, but I'm just saying...I don't know why that movie got the hype that it did. Sigh...maybe I'm just still bitter about Seven Pounds being overlooked. Nonetheless, we laughed about it and made fun of it, and Bez said he is going to grow his hair like Mickey Rourke's, so I'm looking forward to that! haha
One of my best friends Stacy just moved from an apartment into a house with two other girls we went to college with, Nicole and Courtney. Nicole owns the house and it is gorgeous! It is an older home but it has had some REALLY nice upgrades like super modern sinks and a cool shower and nice flooring, etc...I loved it! They had a big fiesta this weekend, with souvenir koozies and t-shirts and everything! It was such a blast, and a great excuse to take a ba-jillion pictures. ;) It's a small world, because our friends Cody and Rheanna work with Stacy, so we are like a little friendship triangle. Cody and Rheanna rode with us to the party (it's about 45 minutes away from where we live) and then spent the night at our house, since little Colt was staying the night with his grandparents. We had a fun slumber party, with cinnamon rolls and orange juice for breakfast. It was an awesome weekend!! Here are some pics from Saturday night...
