You tied my shoes and made my pigtails.
You taught me how to cook and change a flat tire.
(Although I am not half as good at either as you are!)
You texted me "I love you", after you swore you would never text.
You taught me manners and stressed the value of education.
You have made me who I am today, and I am grateful.
I could not repay you, if I wanted to. I can only say:

I love you Pops! Happy Birthday! I hope you had a wonderful & special day! You are an amazing man, and I am proud you are MY father! Here is the cake I should have made you this weekend...
